Carl Zeiss (Maple Grove, Minnesota), has agreed to combine Torino, Italy-based Coord3 Industries’ gantry CMM frames with its sensors, software and other technology for marketing in North America. The collaboration between the two companies began in early 2004 with a contract for a development and distribution venture. Zeiss says this new partnership will help it meet increasing demand for systems used to inspect large dies, molds and wind energy components.
