Is Manufacturing Work Coming Back To The United States?

The DUO Series from Makino is the first wire EDM to offer a DuoSpark generator
AND a dual wire guide option. This means faster, more accurate machining that
increases cutting speeds by up to 30% and reduces wire consumption by as much
as 40%. See the DUO43 and DUO64 machines in action at www.makino.com/DUO.

Smooth Does Not Have To Mean “Slow”

Obtaining a smoother surface finish does not necessarily mean slowing the metal removal rate. Rather then decreasing the cutting parameters, fine surface finish comes from balancing those parameters. The latest instructional video from online contributor Todd Schuett explains what this means, with a particular emphasis on small milling tools meeting the tightest finish requirements.

Smooth suface finish, particularly in micromachining, comes from balancing the cutting parameters.
