With their new product SpaceController, SpaceControl has brought a device onto the market that is not only applicable in CAD, but also enables access to work in three dimensional Digital Content Creation (DCC).
The 3D Mouse from SpaceControl is available with the option of cap or ball. The user has the control of all six degrees of freedom (in x-,y- and z- direction as well as the corresponding rotational axis) in the truest sense of the word “in the hand”. A light touch of the finger is enough to move and control flying graphic objects in the virtual world.
The SpaceController features a turning wheel, known as the “PowerWheel” that runs around the cap or the ball. The PowerWheel allows with a hand grip, not only the effortless allocation from important device parameters, but also in addition, the selection and navigation of the menu items. The advantages of the PowerWheel are enhanced through the wheel function launcher. This creates the possibility for commands, components or text blocks to be intuitively selected and activated. Many optional functions (Device-, User- or application functions) can be configured individually from these diverse applications with the help of the wheel function launcher. Shortcuts, that before now were very time consuming and laborious on the keypad, can be activated in seconds with a turn of the wheel. The change of keypad is infrequent and therefore the workflow optimized as it is seldom interrupted.
SpaceControl will be at amerimold 2012 in Booth 211. Register today for a free exhibit hall pass and a $50 conference discount compliments of MoldMaking Technology.
