Hainbuch’s Mando T212 mandrel is said to achieve accurate ID clamping specifically for short clamping lengths in blind bores. The mandrel can also be used in both rotating and stationary applications.
According to the company, test results maintain that the mandrel achieves concentric precision of less than 10 µ in blind-bore diameters from 13 mm to 100 mm. Vibration is said to be minimized because of the company’s specialized vulcanization process.
The mandrel incorporates the manufacturer’s pull-back effect to achieve optimal rigidity. The design also eliminates the need for a projecting draw bolt to effectively gain valuable clamping length.
