Atlas Material Testing Technology’s Atlas UVTest is designed to test a variety of materials for their reaction to fluorescent ultraviolet exposure, temperature and moisture. It offers consistent distribution of irradiance and temperature for improved test reproducibility and lower operating costs, the company says. Design features include stackable frames, safety calibration ports, an intuitive multiple-language touchscreen, a plug-and-play DAQ system, and a deionized water spray recirculation kit.
The company’s Atlas Suntest CPS+ is a compact, benchtop instrument equipped with xenon light technology for accelerated material testing. It enables changes and failures due to the harmful effects of light, temperature and moisture (such as color fading, embrittlement or yellowing) to be simulated realistically within days or weeks, as opposed to over the course of months or years as they occur naturally in the end-use environment.
Interchangeable optical filters enable virtually all relevant outdoor and indoor light conditions to be matched. An immersion unit that can be used with the Suntest is available for the simulation of extremely wet, marine or acidic environments.
