Automated Pallet Handling Software Plans Production from ERP, Pallet Stacker Systems
EMO 2017: Fastems will introduce version six of its Manufacturing Management software for automated pallet handling in metalworking, which includes planning, controlling, visualization and monitoring capabilities.
Fastems will introduce version six of its Manufacturing Management software for automated pallet handling in metalworking, which includes planning, controlling, visualization and monitoring capabilities. The software plans production directly from an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system or pallet stacker system based on a manufacturer’s current order and required or available resources. The software can administrate NC programs and tool data for production processes, monitor tool life, and prompt the operator for new tooling. It also has the capability to rearrange schedules in real time, taking changed production process priorities into account. The user interface can support different hardware platforms and operating systems, such as smartphones and tablets, and enables access from anywhere via secure internet connection.
The software also enables users to verify future production resource requirements via the ability to assess the availability of materials and tools and the upcoming capacity requirements of the machines before initiating orders. In addition, version six includes an expanded planning tool which provides users with an optimized overview of the current production process, its progression through the system, and the completion of orders by the deadline date. Other updates include utilities for advance production order planning and simulation of the anticipated capacity usage level in an automatic production process, along with the related order-dependent production schedule.
