Ingersoll’s Pro-Trio ballnose contour roughers feature three effective flutes. According to the company, the flutes increase productivity and incorporate double-sided insert technology for twice the indexes.
A dovetail clamping system for the ballnose inserts increases stability. Side cutting insert stations add greater application flexibility when side milling. The ballnose contour rougher is designed to increase feed rates, material removal rates, reliability and economy, the company says. It is suitable for copy, channel and deep pocket machining.
