Gleason will introduce machines and tooling for the complete production and inspection of all types of bevel and cylindrical gears. Three machines will be featured.
The Genesis 400H vertical hobbing machine features a compact footprint and slim profile with universal automation. It is available with two direct-drive work spindles, three different high-performance hob heads, various tool interfaces and integrated chamfering. It is suited for the production of spur and helical gears, and shafts up to 400 mm in diameter. A smaller 260H model is also available for workpieces up to 260 mm in diameter.
The Gleason-Heller CT8000 Bevel gear machining center is part of a new generation of machining centers from Gleason and Gebr. Heller Maschinenfabrik. The center is a five-axis, single-setup machine for bevel gears as large as 1,800 mm in diameter.
The company’s 350GMS analytical gear inspection system features a Renishaw 3D probe head for the inspection of gears and gear-cutting tools. The gear tester is equipped with Windows VB.NET-based GAMATM 2.0 software with an intuitive user interface. The series also features an ergonomically mounted operator workstation and optional remote pendant controls.
Other products on display will include the Opti-Cut family of gear-cutting tools, X-Pandisk and Quick-Flex workholding systems, and the LeCount inspection system. The company will also highlight its power skiving process for small and medium-sized workpieces.
