According to the company, the compact Hydro-Jet Eco 0615 S enables small business owners to bring outsourced work in-house to better manage deadlines and quality control issues. The compact waterjet is versatile, and it is said to offer distortion-free contour cutting on virtually any type of material, including coated and uncoated metals, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, stone, marble, glass, ceramic, composites, plastic, rubber, foam and more.
The waterjet is equipped with a software package for programming on an integrated PC control with graphical user interface. It features a cold-cutting process, which eliminates thermal stress at the cut edges and ensures that the material structure is not altered because there is never any direct-contact pressure applied to the cut material.
According to the company, the pure-water, abrasive cutting equipment ensures high-precision cuts without frays or burrs. The waterjet features a working area of 60" × 24". X-axis positioning accuracy is ±0.002" per ft., and Y-axis positioning accuracy is ±0.002" per ft. The waterjet enables complex contour cuts and small kerf widths for optimum material utilization and seamless nesting, the company says.
Designed to reduce material costs and preserve raw material resources, the waterjet features maximum feeds of 160 ipm and operating pressures of 40,000 lbs. per sq. in.
