The Burr-Rx brush is the latest addition to Weiler’s Nylox abrasive filament product line and uses advanced filament technology for maximum aggression. The black nylon filaments are co-extruded with high-aggression ceramic grains, providing cut rates up to 400 percent faster than standard silicon carbide filaments, according to the company. The brushes are designed to reduce cycle times by allowing the use of high feed rates and short dwell times, resulting in increased throughput and lower deburring costs. In addition, Burr-Rx brushes are said to remove burrs that are challenging to remove using conventional nylon abrasive filament brushes.
The Burr-Rx disc brush can be mounted in CNC machines directly onto a shell mill holder. The ceramic-grain brushes can deburr materials such as Inconel, stainless steel and titanium, and are also available in stem-mounted wheel, mini disc brushes and banded-end brush configurations.
