CAM-Tool V3, a CAD/CAM package available from CGS North America, is designed for traditional three-axis mold and die machining as well as high speed machining, hard milling and medical applications. Multi-axis functionality is available with the CAM-Tool MX 3+2 program.
Features include a “cutting range” option, which allows users to pick the surfaces they desire to machine, and an improved CL editor, which is said to allow more control of alteration and deletion of tool paths. In addition, a 2.5D module is designed to improve efficiency for applications involving pockets, slide runs and straight lock areas.
