Vericut 7 CNC machine simulation, verification and optimization software eliminates manual prove-out of NC programs while reducing scrap loss and rework. The program also optimizes NC programs to save time and produce higher-quality surface finishes, the company says. The software simulates virtually all types of CNC machine tools, including those from Mori Seiki, Mazak, Makino, Matsuura, Hermle, DMG, DIXI and Chiron. The software runs standalone, but can also be integrated with leading CAM systems such as Catia V5, NX, Pro/E, MasterCAM, EdgeCAM and GibbsCAM.

Software enhancements reduce the time required for manufacturing engineers to develop, analyze, inspect and document the CNC programming and machining process. Instead of focusing on new features or add-on modules, the software focuses on diligent code optimization. Also, the user interface has been modified to create a top-down flow through a graphical tree layout, with context-sensitive choices that appear as the user moves along in the NC program simulation. This provides a more natural and obvious sequence for common actions, the company says.
