TMT Swiss, U.S. importer for Nexturn Swiss-type turning machines, offers the “E” series of seven-axis Swiss turning machines, which are designed to minimize the effects of thermal displacement. The machines are said to provide consistency and repeatability over extended periods of production. The line includes four models from 20- to 38-mm capacity. All models are equipped with Fanuc 31 controls.
Two new models, SA-20B and SA-32B are also available. These seven-axis CNC Swiss-type machines employ cost saving features over their big brother “E” series without sacrificing capacity, the company says. The “B” series machines incorporate the Fanuc 0iTD control.
All SA series use dual, pre-loaded bearings and direct-mounted drive motors. According to the company, this can eliminate the need for grinding operations, which is beneficial when meeting critical CPK values.
SA series machines feature a one-piece casting bed for increased rigidity. Precision Japanese-manufactured ballscrews, linear guides and bearings increase accuracy.
Additionally, the LP-18D, an 18-mm capacity machine, will be on display. The LP series ranges from 12 to 18 mm and is available in multiple configurations.
