The 8060 CNC system Fagor Automation USA Corp. is designed to bring aerospace technology to small and mid-size machines.
Features include a HSSA (High Speed Surface Accuracy) machining system, which enables the operator to find a suitable level of servo performance by using three different submodes: Fast, Conterror and Surface. Processing algorithms use Fagor Adaptive Real-time Feed & Speed (ARFS) to analyze the machining conditions and adapt the feeds and speeds to improve performance and surface finish. Another feature, HSC Dynamic Override, enables the operator to implement real-time control of the servo acceleration and jerk limits. The “Process Informer” application sends an automatic notification to phone or email of program stoppage or error during lights-out operations. Underlying the system is the IIP (Interactive Icon-based Pages) Conversational Programming software, which is designed to ease programming for experienced or novice programmers alike.
Hardware features include a 10.4" high-resolution LCD or touch screen, Ethernet, USB and Tele-Diagnosis capability. The system can control as many as six axes, plus three separate spindles with two different execution channels and includes an auto-tuning system setup capability. Its block processing speed is less than 1 millisecond while analyzing the tool path with high-speed block look-ahead using nano-metric resolution.
