Available from Heidenhain, Acu-Rite's MillPwrG2 CNC for vertical knee mills enables intuitive programming that uses “plain language” prompts. The prompts are accompanied by 3D graphic “Help” forms describing each cycle step to create an instinctive interface that promotes efficiency and productivity, the company says.
Using simplified navigation that eliminates multiple menu screens, this software represents an update of the original MillPwr, yet maintains the same programming language. Other enhancements include expanded tool and datum offsets for more complicated programming tasks. The unit has standard features such as USB communication, networking accessibility, solid model graphics and a 12.1" display (1024 × 768 resolution). It has a 1 GHz processor with 2.5 GB of memory.
