The expanded Micro line of high speed spindles for Swiss turning now includes 20- and 22-mm diameters along with the 25-mm diameter model previously available. Right-hand spindles are also available to increase flexibility. Designed to eliminate secondary operations for Swiss-type lathes, the spindles utilize synchronous, DC motor technology and operate at speeds ranging to 120,000 rpm with high torque.
The spindles are suited for machining applications involving micro milling, drilling and engraving tools. They feature high rigidity and runout of less than 2 microns to enhance surface quality and machining accuracy. Models are available in standard and shorter lengths to better suit compact tooling areas.
