Elmo Motion Control's Gold Drum 100 A/800 V servodrive is part of the company’s line of network-based servodrives that has identical cores and operating environments. The Gold Drum is compliant with EtherCat and Canopen to ease expansion, upgrade, replacement and the addition of non-Elmo products to the network.

The Gold Drum drive is designed to operate “direct to mains” from a rectified 480 VAC. According to the company, it has a wide bandwidth in current, velocity and position operating modes and features an efficient vector control algorithm with current loop bandwidth of 4 kHz. The drive supports feedback in single, dual and gantry configurations, and complies with IEC61800, UL508c, UL60950 and EN61000 industry standards.

The drive is said to reduce integration time and maintenance costs. It can be easily set up and tuned using Elmo Application Studio (EAS)
