The HU100 series is the first in a range of configurable machines based on a set of standard modular components that can be arranged to suit specific applications. Users are able choose axis travels from 1,300 to 2,500mm; four, five or six axes of continuous motion; and a choice of rotary table, trunnion table or table-on-table configurations. Spindle choices include fixed spindles with 6,000 rpm (50 hp, 2,000 foot-pounds torque) for heavy milling and others with speeds as high as 25,000 rpm for high speed applications. Tilt or swivel spindle choices include 6,000 rpm (800 foot-pounds torque) versions for heavy milling and others with speeds as high as 12,000 rpm for high speed machining. The company offers quill-type spindles for precision boring with shorter tools. The machines accommodate workpieces weighing from 4,400 to 17,500 lbs (2000kg to 8,000kg). These machines can be equipped with simple pallet changers or integrated with FMS systems.
