Renishaw’s Sprint high speed analogue contact scanning system for CNC machine tools is designed to facilitate automated process control without the need for operator intervention. The scanning system incorporates on-machine analogue scanning technology said to enable fast, accurate form and profile data capture from both prismatic and complex 3D components. The OSP60 scanning probe is equipped with an analogue sensor with 0.1-micron resolution in three dimensions. The probe provides a continuous deflection output that is combined with machine position to derive the true location of the part surface.
Each Sprint application is enabled and supported by a software toolkit package dedicated to a specific industrial task such as blade manufacture or multitasking machining. The toolkits include on-machine data analysis tools that run automatically in-cycle and provide measurement feedback to a CNC machining process.
Renishaw will also highlight the HS20 long-range laser encoder, a drop-in replacement for its HS10 encoder. The HS20 enables external setting of configuration switches and an additional dedicated 24-V power input. Other products to be displayed include the Revo five-axis measurement system, ApexBlade planning software, Modus aerofoil analysis software, SurfitBlade program for reverse engineering, Equator gauging system and XR20-W rotary axis calibrator.
