Mayfran International has expanded its line of coolant filtration products for use on high performance metalcutting and finishing machines. Two hydrostatic paper filters (HPFs), the HPF-100 and HPF-500, will be on display.
The HPF was designed on the Mayfran modular filter platform. It combines chip removal technology with coolant filtration capabilities to maximize machine tool productivity, according to the company. This automatic coolant system is a deep-bed type filter, with a side-sealing method that prevents chips and particles to pass by. The design provides a clean and continuous supply of coolant to the machine tool without any downtime, the company says.
Also on display will be a compact vacuum filter, the VacuFilter (V-Series). This filter can be used with virtually all types of cutting fluids and lubricants, and is appropriate for general purpose machining operations. It is suitable for applications such as grinding, honing, lapping, polishing, gun drilling and parts washing where fine particle separation is required.
Two other units for at-the-machine coolant filtration, ConSep and MagSep, will also be featured. These units are both equipped with the AT-Cleaner for filtration to 10 microns.
