Available from Dyna Tech Chemical Specialties, DYNA Cool K2002 metalworking coolant is said to reduce problems with coolant odor, short sump life, dermatitis and rust accumulation on machines. The high-performance cutting fluid is formulated with components that are resistant to bacterial growth and odor formation, yet gentle on the skin. Although the fluid is semi-synthetic, it features high oil content for improved lubricity, tool life and rust protection. The high oil content also results in the product leaving a protective oil film on machine ways to prevent rust accumulation during shut-down periods, an especially useful feature for CNC machines, the company says. Additionally, the product is engineered for long sump life.
