Walter USA will feature its new Blaxx F5055 slitting cutter, which incorporates a grooving system based on self-gripping, form-locking indexable inserts that provide cutting force for the tool. The slitting cutter is based on the Walter Cut SX parting and grooving system, which also provides coolant through the tool for optimal cooling of the cutting edge.
The company will also feature other selected cutting tools as well as cutting fluids and coolants. The Titex X-treme D40 and D50 drills are said to provide 40×D and 50×D drilling depths, respectively, and are designed to drill holes in a single operation without pecking in steel, cast iron or nonferrous metals. Walter USA’s Tiger·tec Silver cutting line offers with positive rake 7-degree and 11-degree geometries for steel machining. The geometries include a flat top with a stepped plateau, as well as a robust geometry for maximum process reliability, according to the company. In addition, the Prototyp Prototex Eco Plus through-hole tap, also on display, is said to deliver increased performance and tool life. Designed for through-hole threads up to 3.5×D, the tap can be used on steel, stainless steel, and cast iron as well as nonferrous metals such as aluminum and copper.
