Data Management Tool Integrated with CAM Software
Vero’s Edgecam software features a direct interface with Autodesk Vault 2013, a data management tool for storing files.
Vero’s Edgecam software features a direct interface with Autodesk Vault 2013, a data management tool for storing files. The program is integrated with the Autodesk Inventor series and Autodesk Inventor Professional CAD systems. By storing the design and Edgecam manufacturing in the Vault program, design teams can track work in progress and maintain version control over individual jobs in multi-user environments. Designs can be organized and reused, reducing the need to recreate designs from scratch. The program can automatically capture the revision history of Edgecam part files to reduce the danger of version control error by securely releasing and tracking files so that team members only access the correct revision of the data. Autodesk Vault commands are integrated into Edgecam’s menu structure and available during work sessions. Users can access the Vault directly from its menu in Edgecam to check part files in and out, undo check outs, and view the change history.
