Better Engineering Mfg.’s drum washer system is designed to clean and dry complex screw machine parts and parts with blind holes and intricate passage ways. The washer features a chain-driven rotary drum available in diameters ranging from 12 to 48 inches with a continuously welded helix, height and pitch as needed. The drive motor is variable speed (1-5 rpm) and is protected by an electronic, “smart drive” torque-overload sensor. The modular system can be expanded or changed without a torch or welder, and customers can specify spray or immersion in the wash and rinse modules. The drying modules use high-volume airflow generated by a centrifugal blower that is recirculated to conserve energy and to avoid air blowout.
