Enclosure Coolers Designed for Hazardous Environments

Vortec offers HazLoc Vortex A/C 7515, 7525 and 7535 model enclosure coolers for hazardous locations. The coolers provide 900, 1,500 or 2,500 BTU/hr. cooling capacity and can operate in environments up to 175°F. All three models have a small footprint to fit in confined areas and can be mounted to the top, side or door of the enclosure. The units are safe for compressed air temperatures ranging to 120°F and are approved for a T4 temperature class. They are designed to cool environments quietly with 62 dBA operation, and a mechanical thermostat turns the unit on only when necessary. The unit design prevents ambient, dirty or humid air from entering the cabinet. The coolers require no wiring and can be installed in minutes, the company says.
