Designed for small- and medium-sized shops and manufacturers, LAUNCH2010 enhances the core functions of the company’s One-System ERP Solutions software. A key element of the software is the Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) module. APS provides real-time data reporting and multiple plant views in order to track and manage every aspect of the scheduling process. Primary functions such as scheduling, reporting, interface, maintenance and service are easily accessed, while drop-down menus on the main scheduling screen offer dozens of menu selections. The company says graphic scheduling functions within APS give the scheduler complete information to make timely decisions that cut costs, increase productivity and enhance customer relationships.

Primary enhancements to the APS module include one-time data entry because data entered for new work orders or projects are automatically changed throughout the entire system; “what-if” planning in which users can enter any number of scenarios to see the potential impact without actually changing the jobs currently in the system; schedule visualization with data displayed in various graphic formats; and finite scheduling that helps a planner identify and deal with bottlenecks and backups when available work surpasses resource capacity. In addition, multiple sorting capabilities allow viewing, sorting, data manipulation and reporting according to multiple criteria while single-screen simplicity enables users to adjust a schedule in one screen and see the results of
that rescheduling immediately throughout the system.
