Female Threaded Thumb Nuts
The Thumb Nut series of thumbscrews features an internal female thread and can be used as a stand-alone thumbscrew or in conjunction with the company’s existing product line. Using the existing line creates a thumbscrew with a check nut, which gives the user a means of locking down an adjustment.
The knob portion of the thumb nut is in the round knurled style with diameters that correspond to those of the existing product line.
A cold-forming process allows customized 2024 aluminum-threaded bushings to be inserted into Shear-Loc plastic knobs, creating a thumbscrew with internal threads.
The company offers more than 3,000 thumbscrew combinations and the new series is available in nine thread sizes ranging from 4-40 to 5/16-24.
