The TF420 fiber laser marking unit provides high-contrast, 2D data matrix codes, logos, barcodes, and eye-readable text. According to the company, the unit is capable of printing on difficult materials such as cast aluminum and carbide while maintaining the precision to mark consumer products like cellular telephones and medical devices. The marking head is sealed and enclosed in a cast aluminum case so that the system can be mounted in any orientation and adapted to existing integrated systems. Designed to use few optical components for increased reliability and extended life, the air-cooled unit eases maintenance concerns and reduces operating costs, the company says.
Also on display will be the XF range of fast micro-percussion marking units, including the XF 510C integrated marking head that fits in one hand and can print continuous characters on metallic and plastic parts at rates of 10 characters per second. This marking unit is designed for use on production lines, leak or functional test stands, or other production stations. A hand held model is also available.
