Tecnara Tooling Systems’ Aoi MistCapture filterless oil mist collector is available in four models for a range of air volumes, velocities and applications, and can be fine-tuned for various settings. Featuring a lightweight construction and compact design, the mist collector is suitable for use with machining centers, lathes and multitasking machines.
The collector’s primary cartridge box accepts Stage 1 and Stage II eliminators, enabling filtration to be optimized for the workspace, equipment and work materials. In most installations, all mist and mist-borne particulates are separated out at these stages, the company says. For situations where fine mist and extremely fine particulates are present, a post-impeller-cartridge Stage III eliminator separates the remainder with a powerful centrifugal flow, the company says. An optional Cyclon accessory is available for situations with ample coolant and foreign particles, such as grinding sludge.
The system is designed for easy maintenance without removing the duct hose from the suction port. The Stage I and II eliminators are housed in a filtration basket which can be accessed from either side of the system, and no replacement filter is required.
