SMW Autoblok introduces the SRG grinding steady rest line, which is designed to support shaft-type workpieces on grinding machines. The line is suitable for crankshaft and camshaft applications and features a port for compressed air, stroke control and central lubrication. Three sizes are available and provide a clamping diameter range of 20 to 85 mm

Horizontal and vertical fine adjustments of the grinding center make high precision possible, the company says. In combination with the retractable arms designed to enable rapid setup, this makes steady rest suitable for follow-down grinding as well.
