Willemin-Macodel’s compact 308B five-axis machining center offers flexibility, thanks to its possibility to machine parts either from short barstock or in one piece.
Requiring a small floor space, the 308B allows machining of complex parts on every hard material (titanium, chrome-cobalt) as well as zirconium material, the company says.
This compact machining center has a high-speed spindle mounted on a rotating axis and a 28-position tool magazine. The functions integrated in the machine offer a lot of machining possibilities and applications. The manufacturing quality and rigid construction of the 308B guarantee a rapid return on investment because of its excellent stability and durability, the company says.
The machine is designed to offer user-friendly communication interface and easy operation. Some advantages of the machine include simple parts clamping, cost reduction on rough material, shorter machining time, reduced tooling costs, reduced setup time, operational autonomy, automatic unloading of fully machined parts and machining from barstock up to 27-mm diameter.
