Leaders-In background

YMT’s Quickjet GTV-97 gantry-type machining center features a one-piece casting with a double-wall box design for a rigid structure that prevents deformation during machining. The crossrail Y axis is guided by four linear guideways to avoid the yawing effect. The X-, Y- and Z-axis travels measure 35.5" × 23.6" × 19.6", respectively. A Fisher built-in 39-hp vector-controlled spindle motor with Shaft Cool technology provides high roughing at a low speed range, the company says. The spindle is the HSK-A63 taper interface. Three internal sensors monitor temperature changes on the front and rear bearing sets and the motors.
