Gear Grinding Machine Grinds without Coolant

Star SU offers the Samputensili SG 160 Sky Grind dry-grinding machine designed to grind gears without using coolant. The machine’s gear grinding process is said to support shorter cycle times than traditional machines, with a chip-to-chip time of less than two seconds.  

Star SU will also present the XTG 575 five-axis linear tool and cutter grinder featuring a Z-axis travel measuring 575 mm, a mineral cast base for increased damping and thermal stability, a 1,000-rpm workhead, and a four-station HSK wheel changer.
