The Opti-Grind process on the P1200 G profile grinding machine is designed to increase productivity by using multiple grinding wheels simultaneously for roughing and finishing. Contact conditions between the grinding wheel and the workpiece flank also improve part quality, the company says.
The Genesis line of vertical hobbing machines is designed to optimize dry machining, reduce floorspace requirements and improve cycle times for cylindrical gears and shafts ranging to 210 mm in diameter. The machines can perform hobbing and subsequent chamfering and deburring operations in a single setup, which increases productivity, quality and repeatability.
