Grieve’s No. 839 is an electrically-heated, 850°F walk-in oven currently used for heat treating and high-temperature batch paint baking. The oven offers workspace dimensions measuring 72" × 120" × 72" and 120 kW installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements. A 12,500-cfm, 10-hp recirculating blower provides a combination of horizontal/vertical airflow to the workload.
The oven features an aluminized steel exterior and interior with 7" thick insulated walls, plus a 4" thick insulated floor with built-in truck wheel guide tracks. Inner door gaskets seal against the door plug, while an outer gasket seals directly against the front face of the oven.
No. 839 includes all safety equipment required by NFPA Standard 86 for handling flammable solvents, including explosion-venting door hardware, a powered forced exhauster air flow safety switch and a purge timer. A recording and programming temperature controller with separate contactors and a recirculating blower air flow safety switch also is included.
