Helical Profile Grinder Offers Three Wheel Technologies
Holroyd Precision’s Zenith 400, available from Precision Technologies Group, performs helical profile grinding with three grinding wheel options: aluminum oxide; ultra-hard plated cubic boron nitride (cBN); and vitrified, dressable cBN.
Holroyd Precision’s Zenith 400, available from Precision Technologies Group, performs helical profile grinding with three grinding wheel options: aluminum oxide; ultra-hard plated cubic boron nitride (cBN); and vitrified, dressable cBN. For versatility, the grinder combines a 420-mm-diameter grinding capacity with a maximum component weight of 700 kg. In addition to high precision, it also offers high stock removal rates and aggressive semi-finishing capacity, with production rates and accuracies tailored to an operator’s needs, the company says.
This machine provides an onboard 3D coordinate measuring machine with fully automatic compensation feedback. High-precision scanning capability is linked with the Holroyd Profile Management Software (HPMS). The Zenith 400’s control system incorporates a development and production software suite, with intuitive touchscreen programming capability.
