Gardner Abrasives, part of Cinetic Landis Corp., offers the BDP bond system for centerless grinding applications. The system was developed to increase production rates and lower cost per unit. The BDP bond features a high-porosity design said to produce higher G ratios and provide freer cutting in OD grinding applications. The added porosity enables better penetration of coolant into the grinding zone, resulting in fewer dressings and wheel changes and the capability to grind more parts while lowering abrasive cost per part, the company says.
