Knuth offers the ABS 320C, a fully automated bandsaw with a twin-column guide system. The automatic feed system utilizes a powered pinch roller system with ¾-hp hydraulic motor for automated, rapid material advancement.
Designed with a limit switch to cut lengths accurately, the machine is also equipped with a programmable part counter for exact productivity and lower material waste. An automatic height adjustment limits space between the blade and the material, so no time is wasted “cutting air,” the company says.
The saw frame feed has an infinitely variable cutting speed ranging from 65 to 330 ft./min. and a 5-hp main motor drive provides sufficient power reserves, the company says. Other features include a rigid, dual-column guide for parallel cuts, a torque-resistant weldment and a cutting capacity of 13.75" × 12.5".
The bandsaw employs helical gears and a hydraulic cylinder. The gears ensure quality service, increased life and lower overall maintenance, while the large cylinder dimensions provide continuous, consistent and quiet operation, the company says. Plus, the machine incorporates an automatic shut-down for added safety and productivity in case the blade breaks.
Standard equipment includes a coolant system with three nozzles, a saw blade cleaner brush and a 48" feed roller table with linear stop.
