Prima Power Laserdyne’s model 430 precision laser system combines both high precision and large-format workholding capabilities for industrial laser welding and cutting.
 
The system features a special rack-mounted fiber laser with more than 1,400 W of peak power requiring 110 V of input power and no water cooling. This combination results in a small footprint for a laser system of this capability, the company says.
 
The system operates at speeds ranging to 800 ipm in the X, Y and Z axes (0- 20 m/min.) with bidirectional accuracy of 0.0005" (12.7 µm). The system has a 23" × 16" × 20" (585- × 408- × 508-mm) work envelope. It features a VMC base structure and S94P motion control system, and front and side access eases automated part loading and unloading.
 
It can process a range of laser-welded or laser-machined products using a basic three-axis motion system, and is also available with integrated rotation and tilt axes for full five-axis motion. Multiple laser options are also available from fiber and fiber-delivered sources.
