HEM miniature hydraulic cylinders from Incoe International Europe are designed to offer virtually all the performance characteristics of larger, bulkier products, but in a smaller footprint. This enables them to be used in applications that were once confined to smaller, less powerful pneumatic cylinders, and increase valve gate performance, the company says.
For multi-cavity molds, the moldmaker can increase cavitation, enabling processors to produce more parts without the need for increased machine size. In automotive applications, producing large molded parts such as door trim panels can require large hot runner systems custom-designed to the geometry of the parts. According to Incoe, HEM cylinders enable the designer to realize injection points that are situated very close together, and the latitude for selection of the points is broader overall, which facilitates the positioning of slides and ejectors. The smaller milling areas are said to also strengthen tool stability for repeatable molding of parts.
