Predator CNC Editor version 8.0 features intelligent code NC editing, side-by-side file compare, single-channel DNC, color G/M code support and integrated 3D graphical solid verification and wireframe backplotting.

The release includes CNC programming wizards, OpenGL-based backplotting and the introduction of customer, part and job details within the program using Predator CNC Editor Enterprise version.

Support for Microsoft Windows Vista is available with the software and it includes support for the other x64 editions—Windows XP Professional x64 Edition and Windows 2003 Server x64. In addition, the software supports Microsoft Office Access 2007 and Oracle Database 11g.

According to the company, several new wizards are included to make the automated manufacturing process easier and more efficient. The bolt hole circle wizard; drill position wizard; feed and speed wizard; and triangle wizard each provide a dynamic preview, allowing changes and options to be explored before inserting new code.  

A graphics rendering process called Dynamic Rendering improves rendering performance while graphics processing via Dynamic Graphics improves changing views, zooming, rotating and panning performance for solid, turbo and machine simulation views. Both the rendering and graphics processing processes improve the number of colors and add support for multiple light sources as well as real-world material properties.
