Big Ass Fans now offers the BAFWorks control system, an iPad application (app) for controlling the company’s large-diameter fans from a single location. According to the company, the app enables greater control over fan usage, which saves time and effort, and makes year-round savings possible.
The control is currently available for all industrial-fan models. Users can network as many as 32 individual Big Ass Fans or an unlimited number of grouped fans. The system includes an alarm output contact for integrating fans into a fire control panel. Fan names can be customized to ease identification, and an animated fan icon provides a quick visual of fan type and speed. Fans can be controlled individually or all at once through the interface. The app can be password-protected to prevent unauthorized use.
