Used for batch processing large composite structures, Grieve’s No.996 jumbo walk-in oven is gas-fired to reach temperatures of 350°F (177°C). Workspace dimensions measure 10 × 32 × 8 ft. To heat the unit, a modulating natural gas burner produces 1,200,000 btu/hr, while two 20-hp recirculating blowers provide combination airflow of 49,000 cfm to the workloads.
Other features include 4" insulated walls throughout; a removable top-mounted heat chamber; and an aluminized steel interior and exterior. Also, mating-angle iron frames enable the oven body to split into four sections for shipment and easy reassembly in the field.
The oven is equipped with safety equipment required by IRI, FM and National Fire Protection Association Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment. This includes an 8,000 cfm powered forced exhauster for quick purge and cool down; motorized dampers on the intake and exhaust for accelerated cooling; and a 10"-diameter circular chart recording and programming temperature controller.
