Rush Machinery offers the large-capacity FC-700 series diamond and CBN wheel truing and dressing machine. The series is designed for truing and dressing of flats, angles, and radii on diamond and CBN single wheels and multiple wheel packs for wheels measuring 28" (700 mm) in diameter. An optional 42" (1, 070 mm) diameter is available. The machine increases efficiency and accuracy by dressing wheels offline of the production grinding machinery. It is simple to operate, quick and accurate, the company says.

The one-piece cast iron base provides extra rigidity and minimizes vibration. Standard features include a computer-driven vision system with a software program specifically designed for the series’ truers and their various applications; an automatic power zoom; and a two-axis DRO.

Manual (FC-700W) and semi-automatic (FC-700EX) versions of the machine are available. The semi-automatic version uses an advanced PLC control for wheel dressing cycles, thereby freeing up the operator for other nearby tasks.

The customized video software platform eases high-tolerance truing and dressing. In addition to the auto-zoom capabilities, this system enables magnification levels ranging from 15× to 60× as standard. An optional high-magnification system can achieve 30× to 120× magnification for true in-process optical inspection.
