Cutrite 2912 is a heavy-duty machining and grinding fluid. The fluid is engineered to be maintenance free in the sump. It machines and grinds carbon, stainless and alloyed steels as well as most cast and wrought aluminum and copper alloys. The fluid does not foam in machining centers using high pressure coolant, and the tight emulsion pops out tramp oils for easy removal, the company says. Formulated for use in individual sumps and central coolant systems, Cutrite 2912 is said to run clean leaving only a light film for in-process corrosion protection. According to the company, the fluid is designed for cleaner machines, reduced consumption, extended tool life, no foam and no operator problems.
