Micro-Vu introduces a new version of its InSpec metrology software for measuring parts in multiple industries including automotive, medical, electronics and aerospace. The software’s Form Fit capability can eliminate the need for third-party software, making it easy to see the display of feature form with tolerance bands, the company says.
The Area Focusing feature enables quick 3D mapping of surfaces via a collection of multiple focus points per snapshot. Character recognition of serial, part or lot numbers as well as bar codes can be exported or added to reports. An Enhanced Reporting feature displays all necessary information in a colorful way designed to ease interpretation, including tolerances and bar display.
The update is available for free from the company and is designed for its Excel and Vertex automated multi-sensor machines; Micro-Vu also offers a version for its manual Sol metrology machine.
