The GC1010 insert grade from Sandvik was designed to provide an effective cutting solution for hardened steels. The company says that the grade roughs and finishes tool steels, ISO-H hardened steels and ISO-P steels. The insert can also be used to improve productivity in ISO-K cast irons.
The insert features a thin PVD coating combined with a fine-grained hard substrate.
This line of inserts can be combined with the manufacturer’s other lines including CoroMill 300 and CoroMill 210.Â
