The Ecospeed F 1540 milling machine from Starrag is designed for medium-size structural components used in the aerospace and energy business.
The Ecospeed F 1540 milling machine from Starrag is designed for medium-size structural components used in the aerospace and energy business. According to the company, the machine’s 200-hp spindle provides increased performance with low environmental impact.
Unlike other machines in the Ecospeed series, the machine column is stationary in the F version. The pallets proceed in the X direction to the vertical table group. The Ecospeed F 1540 has a rotatable, double-pallet station on the side facing the X direction, which can be set up during machining time. The company says it accommodates conditions for wing ribs, fuselage sections or C frames ranging to 159" in height. It is equipped with the 100th Sprint Z3 parallel kinematic machining head. The pallet size is 159" × 157".
The F 1540 can be installed directly on the factory floor, eliminating the need for expensive foundations.
