The Sino-R toolholder is designed to be especially suitable for rough milling. The universal toolholder is based on an expansion technology system with a solid body as a pressure medium, which clamps the cutting tool by using an actuation wrench. According to the company, the interaction of radial rigidity and damping characteristics are features that increase the smooth running of the tool. The result is an increased tool life and increased material removal rates. The toolholder is flexible because of the intermediate sleeves that accept nearly all common tool shank diameters for clamping.
The Sino-R toolholders transmit torque as high as 627 foot-pounds (850 Nm) at a clamping diameter of 1.25" (32 mm) to secure the cutting tool. They are balanced to G 6.3 at 15,000 rpm.
