Modular Marking Machine

Share

The company says that its Technomark multi 4 modular marking machine is ideal for manufacturing operations with a range of direct part marking needs.

The machine features four versions: a fixed benchtop model; a portable hand-held model for heavy or large parts; a combination version that can be either used on the bench or brought as a hand-held to the part; and an integrated unit for automatic marking in production lines. It consists of a mechanical marking head and an electronic numerical control unit. When ordered with the optional integral battery, it no longer requires an external power source.

The product uses technology based on the principle of electromechanically controlled micro-impact marking. The machine is capable of marking figures, letters, logos and a data matrix of varying heights and depths, with up to 1,000 possible settings. It can mark several characters per second. The characters are indented into the material, so the marking is permanent. The character fonts comply with aerospace and automobile industry standards.

According to the company, flat, concave or convex surfaces may be marked, with virtually no splitting of the material, whether it be treated or untreated steel, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, bronze, brass, plastic, wood or ceramic.
